J.B Danquah's Successor Promises Scholarship Package For BECE Candidates

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa North constituency in the Eastern Region, Gifty Twum Ampofo, has announced various scholarship packages for candidates who would come out with flying colours in this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).

The scholarship package, the Legislator announced during a tour of 86 Junior High School (JHS) in her constituency would be awarded to candidates who score aggregate 18 and below in the external examinations.

The MP who succeeded late J.B Danquah-Adu during the tour also distributed 2000 mathematical sets to candidates in Akyem Osiem, Old and New -Tafo, Kukurantumi, Anyinasin and others. She also interacted with the 1,820 final year candidates from the constituency.

The former Tutor at the Akosombo International School addressing the final year candidates said the donation was aimed at aiding the candidates to adequately prepare for the examinations.

The NPP MP who prayed before distributing the mathematical sets to each of the final year candidates at the various schools, urged them to learn hard and pass well so they can pass for the scholarship.

The pupils who received the items were grateful for the kind gesture from the parliamentary candidate and were optimistic of success in the exams.

In a related development, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Akuapem North, Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah-Adjei also counselled candidates from her constituency to also perform well in the examinations.

She also donated 2000 maths set to the candidates assuring them that the flagbearer of the party, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo was still committed to implementing the free Senior High School (SHS) policy once voted into power.

Recipients of the donations were joyous and appreciative of the kind gesture by the MP aspirant.

They were of the belief such donations will spare them on to give out their best during the examination.

They promised not to disappoint the PC, their parents and the schools they are representing.
