Following the death of the Member of Parliament for the Abetifi Constituency Hon. Peter Wiafe Pepera and in accordance with Article 112(5) of the Constitution, as amended, the Electoral Commission will hold a by-election in the constituency on Tuesday, 19th July, 2016.
Nominations for the election will be taken on Tuesday the 21st June and Wednesday the 22nd June, 2OL6 at the District Office of the Commission at Abetifi in the Eastern Region.
Nomination forms may be obtained from the District Office or the Regional Office of the Commission at Koforidua.
Candidates for the election shall provide two recent photographs (bust) with red background, showing the full face and both ears. The filing fee for the election is One Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH01,OO0.0O).
