The first family and the entire country were hit with the sad news of the demise of the mother of our leader, Abiba Nnaba, at age 85.

The nation has been mourning with the President.

However, amidst all the condolences from dignitaries, both foreign and local, the most soothing was from his own daughter, eight year old Farida Mahama.

President Mahama retold the magic words his daughter used to get him to smile again:

“Smile! You lost your mother, but you have me” Farida told her daddy.

How sweet.
