47-Year-Old Businessman Installed As Chief Of Abehenase

The newly installed chief of Abehenase, a town under the Asere stool of the Greater Accra Region, has declared war on the multiple sale of lands in the area.

The installed of the area near Amasaman; one of the fastest growing peri-urban areas in the region, Obrepong Nii Kotey Susubiribi Onyaa I, flanged by his Queenmother Naa Densua Onogeno I, and Assafoatse Nii Odartey Osroy, I made this comment after their outdooring at the Asere Divisional stoolunder the Ga Traditional Council in Accra.

He said, having been installed as the chief of the area; he would make it his core business to wage war on the multiple sale of lands in the area.

This would safeguard live and property in the area and make developers feel safe under his administration.

He revealed that his administration in collaboration with the elders of the area will fight tomake the canker of multiple sales of lands in the area a thing of the past.

He stressed that his administration in further collaboration with the Ghana Police Service will fight to halt the activities of land guards in the area.

According to him, he came for the development of the area which has been lagging behind over the years.

He added that people who sold lands belonging to the stool in the area will also be dealt with in accordance to the law.
“lands in the area are meant for developments of the area are not means for some unscrupulous individuals to swindle innocent developers in the area.

Some people have sold lands meant for the construction of a post office, school, Police station, and bank among others but the stool is studying the documents and very soon actions would be taken against these individuals”.

He was quick to add that the new administration is not here to battle these people for what they have done but to seek the development of the area.
He gave the assurance that his administration will not ventureinto the vilifying people but will use the laws of the country to deal with individuals who have sold properties meant for the stool.

“After all we are one people seeking the development of our people as well as making sure the laws of the land work without fear and favour as have been trumpeted by the politician over the years”.

What is needed most is not to go after his predecessors for the crime, theymay have committed against the Abeyense stool but unite them for the development of the area.

According to him, this will make people of the region recognize that there is a town behind Amassaman that is developing and moving its people forward.

He said, his administration seeks to make area the hub of education, where the young ones particularly those at the basic level will not have to travel all the way to Amassaman, the district capital to access secondary education.

He gave the assurance that his administration would make lands available in spite of the fact that some of these lands have been sold to the government to build facilities that would uplift the image of the area.
