The Ghana Highway Authority (GHA) announces for the information of motorists that the south-bound lane (i.e the lane from Peduase Lodge to Ayi Mensah on the Accra-Aburi road) would be closed to vehicular traffic for five months.

The lane would be closed at 6:00am on Monday, 27th June, 2016 till Wednesday, November 19, 2016.

The closure is to enable the contractor start physical repair works on the scarp along the Ayi Mensah-Peduase Lodge Road.

“As an alternative, motorists may also use the Kitase-Berekusu road," the GHA said in a statement.

Motorists are kindly advised to co-operate with the Traffic Wardens at the Ayi Mensah and Peduase ends of the roads, and also follow directional signs that would be placed along the route to ensure safe execution of the works.

Any inconvenience that may be caused is deeply regretted.
