Vote Wisely - NPP Ablekuma South PC Advises

The 2016 Parliamentary Candidate (PC) of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for Ablekuma South Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Lawyer Jerry Ahmed Shaib, has urged constituents to be mindful of the candidate they vote for to represent them in Parliament in the upcoming elections.

He advised them to ignore monetary enticements for a candidate they can reach and approach with ease after the elections, adding that monies shared to induce people for votes, lasts only for a moment.

The lawyer then explained that, a candidate with a vision just as him would actualize his vision which would go a long way to benefit every constituent, irrespective of the party one belonged to.

“But the one who shares money to be voted for would later abandon your concerns after the elections to recoup the lost monies”, he said.

Jerry Shaib, told the New Crusading GUIDE in an exclusive interview during the weekend that he may not have the resources as his contender in the National Democratic Congress (NDC), but he possesses a dream for the betterment of the constituency and that is what they should look for in the various candidates in the impending elections.

“Unlike my other colleague in the NDC who is sitting on all monies coming from Accra because he is the boss, I do not have the resources but I have the will and it has been manifested over the years to the people in Ablekuma South”, the lawyer stated.

He made it known that even with his scarce resources he has helped people get jobs, paid school fees and even hospital bills. He also added that he has so far helped registered about 4000 people on the National Health Insurance Scheme.

“My mum wasn’t the only one that paid my school fees, hence I feel obliged to help the people I have lived with all my life”, he explained his reasons for extending help.

Mr. Shaib, in outlining his vision for the people of Ablekuma South, indicated that he will start a soccer academy and establish an international standard musical studio in the area to unearth fresh talents since most of the best players and musicians in Ghana come from the constituency.

Already, he posited that, there exists the Jerry Power Educational Scheme, where fees are provided for brilliant but needy government tertiary students in the constituency and its surroundings.
