Emirates, the Global connector of people and places on Saturday reached out to over 50 children and their parents through an exclusive movie experience at the Silverbird Cinemas in Accra.

The event served as an avenue to interact with existing and potential travellers of the airline in an ambience similar to what they would experience on board an Emirates Flight. It was also used as a platform to educate them on the extensive family benefits of flying with the world-class airline.

The benefits include special toy companions to keep children entertained, and an award-winning onboard entertainment system known as ICE (Information Communication and Entertainment). Passengers can access over two thousand movie channels including more than 50 Disney classic kids’ movies, news and TV channels on the entertainment system during flights.

Speaking at the event, Country Manager of Emirates Ghana, Mr. Hendrik Du Preez said “we are committed to providing value for money for families. We therefore encourage you to Fly Emirates to Dubai and any of our 150 destinations worldwide”.

Participants for the exclusive movie experience were selected via a competition on Okay FM, print media and online. Winners were entitled to bring up to three family members including spouses and children to the event.

Each child was presented an Emirates fly with me toy and other Emirates memorabilia at the end of the movie. Families who participated expressed their excitement and commended Emirates for the gesture. ”This is wonderful and we appreciate it so much” one patron said.
