Madam Challote Osei Must Take Legal Actions Against The Legislature

The president of Amass Ghana, Mr. Kofi Asamoah-Ababio, has dashed the chairperson of the electoral commission, Madam Charlotte Osei to institute legal actions against Hon Kennedy Agyapong for allegedly disgorging unjustified statement about her.

He said the dictum which the legislature fumed is not only tantamount to a demonization of the commission but also a slur cast on the status of the chairperson.

“This is not the first time Kennedy Agyapong has ousted such utterances but I think it’s time he is bared size… publicly announcing that somebody exchange sex for position is grim.”

According to Mr. Ababio, Ghanaians should not be disdaining statements like that emitting from a member of a legislature, adding that, parliament ought to ensure that its representatives conduct themselves in a manner that will befit Ghana’s legislature.

“We can agree to disagree on issues but that does not give us the prerogative to be attacking personalities… I strongly advocate that, the commissioner drag the Hon member to court for him to substantiate his abominable allegation.”

However, the president of Amass Ghana condemned the obnoxious, unjustified and the unsubstantiated raid on the personality of the electoral commissioner’s boss and advised politicians to campaign on issues based and cease from unacceptable attacks on the persons of opponent and benign Ghanaians.

Mr. Ababio charged politicians to condemn and dissociate themselves from such naked display and possibly sanction the malefactor to serve as deterrent to other members and to also send vivid message to the electorates about their commitment to amity.
