Seventeen people have died in an accident at Nnoboam near Konongo in the Ashanti Region.
The accident occurred when a fully loaded 207 passenger bus with registration number GY 2520-13 rammed into a stationary timber truck with registration number GT874-11 on the night of Thursday June 30.
This follows an accident earlier at the same spot that claimed five lives when a Mercedes Benz Sprinter bus with registration number AW 5174-13 rammed into the same stationary timber truck.
Konongo-Odumase Divisional Police Commander Superintendent Ohene Boadi confirmed the incident to Class News.
He said the police was doing their best to get the stationary truck out of the road to prevent a reoccurrence of the accident.
