Dr. Mensa Otabil Adjudged 2016 Ghana's Most Influential

General Overseer of ICGC, Dr. Mensa Otabil is Ghana's Most Influential (GMI) personality.

Dr. Mensah Otabil has held on to this acclamation for the third time after being declared GMI awardee in 2014 and 2015.

Dr. Mensa Otabil was adjudged this year's GMI person for his immense contributions to the growth and sanctity of the nation, and his devout commitment to shaping the Ghanaian people to positively impact the country.

The 6th edition of the Ghana's Most Influential (GMI) personality’s award was held at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra to honour personalities who have had a good influence on the masses.

Delivering his acceptance speech, Dr. Mensa Otabil charged private sector to become the beacon of Ghana's development.

According to him, private magnates and bigwigs in the society should not leave the fate of the country in the hands of politicians because to him, politicians tend to have ulterior motives towards the country.

Dr. Otabil mentioned some great men of the land whose dreams Ghana is living today.

He stated Tetteh Quashie as one of his influential people and so advised the nation's leader to take cue from the selfless contributions of Tetteh Quashie to the development of the country.

He also urged the media to project the good deeds of the citizens.

Amongst the list of GMI awardees were ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas, Father Palmer Buckle, Bernard Avle, Abraham Attah, Kwesi Twum, Albert Ocran, Patrick Awuah, Stephen Appiah among others.
