Fire Guts Northern School Of Business

Fire Thursday July 15 gutted the boy’s dormitory of the Northern School of Business in Tamale destroying mattresses, stationery, chop boxes, beds, and an unspecified amount of money.

The cause of the fire is unknown but officers from the Ghana National Fire Service emerged to douse the fire before it could spread.

The school’s assistant headmaster, Douglas Yakubu, who spoke to Radio Ghana, said the fire was a big blow to the school.

The Northern Regional Public Relations Officer of the Fire Service, Nicholas Poku-Arkins, said investigations were underway to ascertain the actual cause of the fire.

Affected students appealed to the Ghana Education Service to come to their aid by providing them with some relief items.
