Asiedu Nketia Must Apologise To Musicians K.K Fosu

Veteran contemporary High Life musician, Kwame Kaakyire Fosu known in showbiz as K.K Fosu has registered displeasure on comments made by the General Secretary of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia and had effect asked him to apologise to the whole musical board.

When the M.anifest and Sarkodie beef started, some bloggers and reporters quoted him as saying, the beef is a Tom and Jerry cartoon fight.

According to some reports, the NDC scribe explained that “M.anifest the son of astute lawyer Tsatau Tsikata is as intelligent as his father, no two ways about it, the gentleman is an intellectual, more than a mere rapper among his peers and there is no way Opana who only brags can compare himself to him even the deaf and dumb knows that.”

However, days after the report, the politician on a radio programme, denied making such comments and indicated that he does not know the two artiste and has not even heard their names before. He said “What is called M.anifest . . . I don’t know anyone by name Manifest and I don’t know anyone by name Sarkodie too . . . I don’t know them . . . is it the manifest they look on to write people’s names for them to board planes or what..?”

But denying knowledge about who Sarkodie and M.anifest is, sounds a bit awkward to K.K. Fosu.

According to the high life genius, politicians are just using musician for their personal gains. When they want to talk to their people, they play music before talking to them.

“It is a pity, this shows that, the job that we are doing, we suffer a lot but at the end of the day, you will see that when politicians are having their campaign, it is music they play before they talk, they’ve used musicians for a long time,” he said.

According to K.K. Fosu, musicians have been taking for granted, meanwhile when you go to other countries, they hail their musicians and respect them a lot.

He has therefore said that, Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketia can claim not to know the works of Sarkodie and M.anifest but he should not deny not hearing their name.

Meanwhile Asiedu Nketia has mentioned that he is not a fan of rap music.

“Have I not been telling you the kinds of music I like, I love Adowa and Yaa Asantewaa kind of music…the songs by Ampofo Adjei, Konadu and even Reggae . . . if you want to know my friends then they are Naa Konadu whose funeral I even attended, Adofo and Amakye Dede,” he said.
