Management of the State Insurance Company (SIC) has appealed the Management of the Sunon-Asogli Gas cum Thermal Power project to insure the second phase of the project with the SIC as it did the first. Mr Ben Acolatse, Managing Director of the SIC, appealed to Togbe Afede XIV, Agbogbomefia of Ho Asogli, the initiator of the project "to continue with the already cordial relationship which exists between the two institutions". He said this when he presented a cheque for 2,500 Ghana Cedis towards the Asogli Education Fund and the Asogli Yam festival on Thursday. Mr Acolatse reaffirmed SIC's commitment to donating to the Asogli Educational Fund in accordance with the Company's slogan, "Our Promises are sacred". He said SIC's donation in support of activities of the Asogli Traditional Area so far amounted to 15,400.00 Ghana cedis. Togbe Afele II, Chief of Ho-Hliha and Togbe Dekortsu II Afetorfia of Ho-Heve, who received the cheque on behalf of Togbe Afede said the relationship between the SIC and the Asogli Traditional Area should be deepened through regular interactions for their mutual development.
