ALL eyes are on Rio as the world eagerly watches athletes compete in the Olympic Games… but let’s spare a thought for some of the staff working behind the scenes.

Unsung Brazilian hero Eric is being paid to walk around the stadiums handing out packets of condoms.The safe sex sage is one of many employees who have been hired by organisers of the Olympics.

Last month, reports revealed that athletes were being granted access to a whopping 450,000 condoms and 175,000 packets of lubricant.

There’s no doubt that there’ll be as much action going on off the field as well as on it as the quantity of condoms allows each athlete to hook up at least two to three times a day during the sporting event, which lasts for 17 days.
After SB Nation reporter Rodger Sherman spotted the dedicated worker, he decided to take a quick photo.

He uploaded the snap to Twitter, with the caption: “Meet Eric, the guy whose job it is to walk around the Olympics with a big sack of condoms.”

The reporter also added: “I wanted to talk to Eric about his job, but alas, he had to go deliver condoms.

“Not all heroes wear capes.”t’s safe to say that social media users were pretty taken with Eric, as Rodger’s tweet amassed over 9,000 retweets and 11,000 likes.

One commenter remarked: “I finally found out what I want to be when I grow up.”

Another asked: “Is there some new Olympic event I don’t know about?”
