Central Region Could Become NDC's World Bank Under Mahama

Central Regional Minister, Hon. Kweku Ricketts-Hagan has asserted that per the developmental projects happening in Central Region under President John Dramani Mahama, the region could become the next 'world bank' for the ruling NDC.

According to him, the people of Central Region have benefitted a lot from President Mahama’s administration, considering the new stadium and the ultra-modern Library built in honour of the late President Professor John Evans Atta Mills.

Speaking on Okay Fm’s Ade Akye Abia Morning Show, the Member of Parliament for Cape Coast South averred that the people of Central Region will soon boast of Kotokuraba Market and Elmina Fish Processing Plant as they are almost at completion.

He added that, the commissioning of Komenda Sugar Factory, the construction of bridge for the Cape Coast Castle to aid tourism and asphalted roads in the whole Cape Coast Township are indication that President Mahama and the NDC have done a lot for the people of Central Region.

Commenting on the choice of Cape Coast as the place for the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) campaign launch, Hon. Ricketts-Hagan posited the choice has cemented the blessings the people of Central Region have received from the Mahama-NDC government.

“I think that we are blessed and 7th December, the people of Central Region will deliver for President John Dramani Mahama. The choice of Cape Coast is to return the NDC back to its basic, to where it started in September, 1992. This is for us to be able to gather the old spirit of NDC for the upcoming elections,” he asserted.

He stressed that he would have loved that Cape Coast and the entire Central Region will turn into the World Bank for the NDC, but added quickly that the people of Cape Coast and the entire region vote depending on the performance of the government in the region.

“Central Region is different from other regions, in the sense that, the people vote carefully after deep thinking. Even our own Professor Mills was not given an easy ride in Central Region; it tells you that the people of Central Region don’t just vote for some other reasons but per infrastructural development . . . so under President Mahama, Central Region could become the World Bank of NDC,” he opined.
