Ignore Bogus Document on Vodafone/Telecom Transition � NPP

The New Patriotic Party (NPP), has called on all media houses as well as Ghanaians to ignore the document which is being circulated by anonymous people on the Ghana Telecom/Vodafone transaction. According to the party, the Ghana Telecom/Vodafone issues is a serious issue which deserves serious treatment and should not be reduced to comments on an unsigned, non-letter headed, and anonymous, phantom document. According to a release signed by the Minority Spokesperson on Communications, Hon. Nana Akomea, the NPP has been aware of publications in some newspapers purported to be findings on the Ghana Telecom/Vodafone share sales. He added that there has also been spine off news stories on the radio and in the press on this publication, stressing that a cursory examination of the document shows it is not letter headed, bears no name, no signature nor date �it is an anonymous, phantom document� has said. He pointed out that issues about the GT/Vodafone transactions are of great interest to the NPP �The Party is very ready to understand issues on the transaction �he revealed. �The party therefore stands very ready to respond to issues when the official report of the ministerial committee is officially made available.�
