"Take Appiah-Ofori To Court If You Are Innocent"

An NDC activist and businessman, T.V. Amusah, has challenged the NPP to take legal action against P.C Appiah-Ofori, NPP Member of Parliament for Asikuma/Odoben/Brakwa in the Central Region for alleging that the then Minority in Parliament took $5,000 each before approving the Vodafone deal. He said the failure of the NPP to do that will create the impression that the NPP members of Parliament actually took the money. Speaking to the Times in Accra on Monday, Mr Musah appealed to all Ghanaians to give President Mills enough time to fulfill his campaign promises. The government needs enough time to fulfill its campaign promises, he said. He was hopeful that come 2012 Ghanaians will see and feel the good works of President Mills and will surely retain him in power. He said although the government was mandated to present good and effective polices to improve the living conditions of the people, any hasty decisions on the part of government will lead to wrong judgement.Mr. Musah said, so far, the government had shown faith with Ghanaians by his open and fair administration, saying that unlike the previous cases, the NDC government is continuing with policies and programmes started by the previous governments. On the current rumpus in the NDC where a leading member of the party is describing the Professor Mills administration as slow, Mr. Musah said the NDC party leadership is capable of resolving all internal problems in the party. He advised all party members to avoid internal wrangling and bickering and work for the victory o f the party in the 2012 elections.
