Let's Buy Computers For Our Wards

Mr. Kwame Baffoe-Duah, Assembly Member for Yeboasa in the Nkoranza South district, has urged the people to help mobilize resources to purchase pieces of computers for basic schools in the area. He noted that most basic schools in the area lacked computers and this had affected the study of Information Communication Technology (ICT) by the pupils. Interacting with the staff and students of the Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) and Presbyterian Junior High Schools at Nkwabeng, Mr. Baffoe-Duah appealed to particularly citizens resident abroad to assist. He commended the staff and students of the SDA School for their performance in this year's Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), scoring 78.5 percent. He advised parents of children who passed the examination to support them to enrol in second cycle institutions and urged the students to take their education seriously. Mr. Alex Ofori-Adjei, Headmaster of Nkwabeng SDA, appealed to parents to support the organisation of mock examinations to prepare the students for their final examinations. He appealed to parents to ensure that their wards study after school hours. Mr. Ofori-Adjei said the staff would do their best to help improve the performance of the students.
