Four more victims of the 13 who drowned recently have been washed ashore at various locations along the Accra beach. Two of them have been identified as Zaila and Mohammed.
The remains were interred at the Awudome Cemetery yesterday. It was an emotional moment when a sister of one of the victims identified her sister called Moomy. She was asked to prove that was her and she said there was a scar on her back which was easily seen even in the body�s advanced stage of decomposition.
The bodies as to be expected were in advanced stages of decomposition � lost eyeballs and parts of fleshy parts. Last Sunday over 13 mostly kids drowned at the beach near the former Accra Hearts of Oak playing grounds in Accra. The kids had gone to swim in the afternoon and unfortunately got drowned throwing many families in Nima and Maamobi where all of them hailed from into an unexpected state of mourning. The following days in the twin suburbs were characterized by visits of condolence by sympathizers.
