I'll Open More 'Fire' On Nana Addo... Ayariga Replies Kennedy Agyapong

All People’s Congress (APC) flagbearer, Hassan Ayariga says he will open more fire on the New Patriotic Party (NPP)’s flagbearer, Nana Akufo-Addo who he believes is not qualified to be elected the President of the country.

Ayariga who is noted for making Nana Akufo-Addo his main target during national electioneering campaigns said on Asempa FM that, he has more arsenals he would be throwing at the septuagenarian before the December polls and hence called on the NPP leader and his supporters to get ready for him.

“We are doing politics and I have my way of doing my politics…my campaign is going to focus on everyone, if you cross my line, it’s not going to be easy…,” he said in reaction to claims by NPP MP for Assin Central, Ken Agyapong that he is unworthy of the presidency.

Hassan Ayariga had earlier claimed that the NPP flagbearer was unfit to lead the country as at 72 he was still living in his father’s house.

“At age 72, my senior and my father, Nana Akufo-Addo, is still living in his father’s house. At this age 72, I would have retired from politics and been advising young men of this country to move this country forward and not contest with them anymore,” he was quoted as saying.

And when his attention was drawn to the comment which has been condemned by the NPP, Hassan Ayariga said he was prepared to spill more venom at the NPP flagbearer whom he was accused of distracting during the 2012 Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA) debate.

“Is it not true Nana Addo is staying in his father’s house…is he living in my house, it’s a shame. As a grown up like Nana Addo, there are many of his siblings who can live there not him, he should go and live in his own house…,” he demanded.

When told that Nana Addo had a house at East Legon, Hassan Ayariga maintained that he still doesn’t care about that. He said he would continue to open more fire as he is more qualified to lead the country than an astute lawyer and human rights fighter Nana Addo.

“We should scrutinize all our leaders, I come from a village and today, I am contesting for President and that is achievement…I have done all kinds of businesses except robbery and prostitution…I have lots of achievements and I was the first blackman to open a restaurant at Osu in the midst of whites…,” Hassan Ayariga said.

He therefore urged the NPP to be ready for more fire from him as he would never spare anyone who stands between him and the presidency including Nana Addo.

Reacting to this, Ken Agyapong said the threats from Hassan Ayariga can never shake the NPP or its flagbearer.

He further described Hassan Ayariga as someone paid to distract the NPP. The line of argument of Hassan Ayariga, he added tells that he is even unworthy to partake in the politics of the country as he lacks a basic idea of governance.
