NPP Was A Tormenting Sickness In My Blood - Former Co-Ordinator

A former Campaign co-ordinator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for the Bole- Bamboi constituency claims his former party was like a tormenting disease in his system.

He has therefore expressed gratitude to God after being delivered from the ‘torment’ ever since he divorced his relationship with the NPP and is now with the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) campaigning for the second term bid of John Dramani Mahama.

Yayaha Seidu popularly called Braa Prex- doe who spoke on Accra-based Montie Fm, said the flagbearer of the NPP Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo has deviated from the true ideology of NPP, the humility and tolerance of J.A. Kufour, the unity as well as the positive legacy former President J.A. Kufour left for the party.

He said power should not be given to the NPP because they cannot manage their own party and would not be able to manage Ghana adding, “putting Ghana in the hands of Nana Akufo-Addo in particular would be very dangerous”.

According to him, the unprecedented achievements of President Mahama will become a waste if the electorate allows someone in the caliber of the NPP flagbearer to rule the country.

“It would be wise to let him continue his good works”, he stated.

Yayaha Seidu dared all NPP members to refer to the NDC green book which he said is full of massive infrastructural development across the country, commending President Mahama for constructing the Fufulso- Sawla road which was there for years but was neglected.

“That road is the biggest achievement of President Mahama in the area he comes from. It is accessible and because of the road, drivers also spend less time traveling on it”, he said.

On the numerous attacks from members of his former party he said “I don’t care about the insults and attacks from the NPP through press releases. The NDC did not give me any money and I am daring anyone who has evidence that I was bribed to bring it up”, he challenged.

“I used my own funds to organize a Youth Seminar at Tamale which was attended by Nana Addo and Bawumia but when I approached Nana Addo as he entered the hall to introduce him to his seat to his surprise, the man looked at me with a scorn, snubbed me and just walked away to sit on a table. Bawumia also did same to the surprise of all present. That was one of the many reasons the youth in the North still do not accept Bawumia as one of their own because Nana Akufo-Addo has injected him with the arrogance substance of those so called first class citizens of Ghana”, he alleged

He said all the points enumerated contributed to his decision to cross carpet to the NDC saying; “NDC has smartly buried all the negative things society once attributed to it hanging them nicely on the necks of the NPP supporters”.
