A twenty-nine year-old youth activist of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Anthony Abayifaa Karbo, has declared his intention to contest the position of National Youth Organiser of the party.
According to him, his decision follows of the board consultation he has with the party�s rank and file, coupled with the overwhelming support he received from across the country.
Speaking to reporters in Accra, he said he had, therefore decided to join the race to become the National Youth Organiser to mobilise people, especially the youth to enable the party to recapture power in 2012.
Mr Karbo, who is the Programme, Projects and Policy Coordinator for Centre for Locally Initiated Development, a non-governmental organisation, said the NPP needed personalities who could inspire confidence at the grassroots level and motivate party foot soldiers and supporters for the 2012 general election.
