My Vision Is To Transform Lives - Bede Ziedeng

Mr Bede Ziedeng, a Parliamentary Candidate for the Lawra Constituency, said he will use education, agriculture, youth and women empowerment to transform the lives of his constituents if voted to power in the 2016 elections.

He said he would establish the Lawra Constituency Education Support Fund with a target of GHC 100,000 to help reduce the burden on parents regarding the payment of school fees.

Mr Ziedeng spelt his vision for the constituency at his campaign launch held at Lawra.

He said it is also his interest to modernise agriculture through the agricultural mechanisation centre in the constituency to provide employment for the people.

He said a fertilizer depot would also be established to serve the interest of farmers while irrigation facilities would be provided to encourage dry season farming.

“Already government has planned to build park houses in Eremon and Yagha which would dovetail into my vision and make it complete”, Mr Ziedeng said.

He said a programme to empower the youth would be developed through a consultative process, with the view of exploiting other areas to create jobs for the youth.

Mr Ziedeng also pledged to establish a pure water manufacturing point with retail outlets and arrange credit facilities for women groups to enhance their businesses.

He urged the electorate to vote massively for him and President John Dramani Mahama to bring more development to the area.

“Stand by me. I don’t fear falling, but I want to fall and get up and see all of you standing by me”, he said.

Alhaji Amidu Sulemana, Upper West Regional Minister, who was guest of honour at the event, said the Lawra-Nandom road had been awarded on contract.

He urged the people keep faith with the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and President John Dramani Mahama’s administration and vote massively for Mr Ziedeng and the President in the December 7 elections.
