I Am Overwhelmed By The Love Showed Me In Brong Ahafo - Prez Mahama

President Mahama says he’s overwhelmed by the outpour of the show of love and support that the people of the Brong Ahafo Region has showed him on the first day of his five day tour of the region.

The President has received showers of praises and endorsements particularly from the traditional leaders who have indicated their appreciation of massive development projects in their communities and the associated opportunities for job and wealth creation.

“John Mahama has worked hard in spite of the major challenges his government faced over the last three years. He is building the much needed infrastructure and gradually he is creating the opportunity for accelerated development.

The best we can do is to show gratitude and retain him in office” These were frank admonitions by Nana Yaw Kagbrese, Omanhene of the Yeji Traditional Area, who is also the President of the Brong Ahafo regional House of Chiefs.

He mentioned major roads, schools, health facilities and other bold initiatives which he says has improved the lives of the people across Brong Ahafo and the country at large and are visible for all to see.

“All what we see were done under four years. He has suffered. People have tried to frustrate him, distract him but he has remained focused and is delivering on his mandate. Those claiming he has done nothing are merely doing politics. Those who are complaining had the opportunity to serve for eight years but John Mahama has done less than four years. He deserves a second term so why don’t we vote to retain him. Then we can compare him, and former Presidents Kufuor and Rawlings who also served eight years” …he emphasized.

A statement issued by the spokesperson for the John Mahama campaign Joyce Bawah Mogtari says

“The people of the Brong Ahafo Region once again confirmed their love and support for President John Dramani Mahama with a spectacular welcome into the region yesterday. The first day of the President's campaign tour of the region was very successful and encouraging”

It adds that “ Our Humble, Trustworthy, Peaceful and Hardworking Leader, H.E John Dramani Mahama will also attend the 2016 National Best Teachers Award ceremony at Sunyani”

President John Dramani Mahama also received rousing welcome, met chiefs and addressed mini durbars and rallies during whistle stops. The communities visited included Odumase, Bechem, Duayaw Nkwanta and  Abesim.

His campaign tour is expected to take him to a number of constituencies to woo the electorates to renew his mandate.

This is the third time President Mahama is taking his campaign to the Brong Region where at the recent NDC manifesto launch, he described as “the home of my in laws,” because his wife Lordina is a daughter of the region.
