President John Dramani Mahama has stated the resolve of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Government to sustain its transformation agenda to further enhance the livelihood of the citizenry in its next four-year term.

He stated: “We are changing lives and transforming Ghana. Indeed Government is inspired by the successes that have been achieved in the last couple of years and with your support we would sustain the transformation and make more progress.”

President Mahama, therefore, called on the electorate to renew the mandate of the Government in the December Elections to extend that agenda.

President Mahama said this in a speech, read on his behalf at this year’s Glidzi Festival of the chiefs and people of Adaklu on the theme, “Uniting for the development of Adaklu.”

He said the NDC Government was forever indebted to the Adaklu Traditional Area for its continuous support, which he said, had kept the Government going despite the challenges.

He reiterated the commitment of the Government to ensure that Adaklu and all traditional areas got their share of development.

President Mahama said the Government was aware of the challenges of potable water and bad roads in Adaklu and said efforts were being made to address them.

Mr Kwame Agbodza, the Member of Parliament for Adaklu, said the District was leveraging development on education and it would not make any excuse of investing in education in the area.

“We are sure that once we produce quality human resource, we can address all other challenges,” he stated.

Mr Agbodza commended the Government for giving Adaklu a community Day Senior High School and said it fitted into the District’s agenda on education.

Mr Sky Ganaku, the Adaklu District Chief Executive, said the District had made considerable achievements since its inception in 2012 with 42 infrastructure in education, huge investments in health and the rehabilitation of dams to boost agriculture.

Togbe Gbogbi Atsa V, the Paramount Chief of Adaklu, expressed gratitude to the Government for implementing development projects in more than70 communities in the District.

He, however, and reiterated their appeal for a District Hospital.
