Accra bourse begins week on weak note

The main index of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE), the All-Share Index, opened the week down on Monday, losing 16.42 points to close at 6,070.03 points. Change for the year closed the session at -41.81 per cent. Traded volumes opened at 31,494 shares. Market capitalisation at the close of session now stands at GH�15,753.31 million. On the broader market, there were three price changes - two negative and one positive. State Insurance Company (SIC) lost GH�0.01 at GH�0.32 and Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) went down by 0.04 at GH�0.88. The only gainer was Fan Milk Limited (FML), which appreciated by GH�0.03 at GH�4.53.
