PHOTOS: N/R Nasia Community SHS...No Work Done; Site "Bushy" Now "A Mini-forest"

The Nasia Community Senior High School is the 78th on the list of 123 Community Day Senior High Schools (SHSs) released by the Ministry of Education and said to be at various "stages of completion".

Nasia Community SHS is located in the West Mamprusi district in the Northern Region and funded by the Government of Ghana.

The project was contracted to Haybel Company Ltd.

As part of Peace FM's Kokrokoo Production Team's commitment to render a situational account of the progress of the schools which the government claims are in different stages of completion, our Correspondent Prince Kwame Tamakloe was at the land site to file a report on the state of the Nasia Community SHS.

From his account, there is absolutely no work going on the land site.

In fact, the site only has a sign post indicating that the land has been demarcated for the establishment of the school but the site has been abandoned.

The land is covered with bushes and trees and is now almost 'a mini-forest'.

There is not even a foundation to show that such project would be carried out on the site.

The residents have expressed resentments over what they describe as the deception by government to Ghanaians that the school was also at various "stages of completion".

According to Peace FM's Northern Regional Correspondent, the residents complained bitterly about the lies told Ghanians by the Mahama government.

The disclosed that "there has never been a day a construction vehicle moved towards the site."
