Director of Administration & Finance at the media wing of the Despite Group of Companies, Fadda Dickson, was honoured with the Excellence in Radio Management Award at the 2016 edition of the Radio & Television Personalities (RTP) Awards over the weekend.
The honoree award was bestowed on Mr Dickson as a recognition and celebration of his enviable exploits in radio management over the years.
Under his leadership, his station, Peace 104.3 FM, has consistently remained the most listened-to station in the country.
For several years, surveys and research into radio listenership and reach conducted by Ipsos, a global market research company, has consistently placed Peace FM at the very top, leading the other stations with enviable margins in terms of double digit percentages.
The station has over the years remained consistent in having the largest chunk of listenership and brand visibility and, therefore, the honour bestowed on Mr Dickson really come as much of a surprise to the media fraternity in Ghana.
Peace FM has the corporate brand, ‘Obiara Se Eye’ (Everyone Says It Is Good), and the station has received several awards, especially for its morning show, Kokrokoo, hosted by Kwami Sefa Kayi.
In all, the Despite Group, operators of Peace FM, Okay FM, Neat FM, Hello FM, UTV and peacefmonline, grabbed some 10 awards in various categories at the ceremony over the weekend.
