Disqualified Parties Already Have An Option To Join CPP For Victory - Kabila

James Kwabena Bomfeh has asked the disqualified political parties to join forces with the Convention People's Party (CPP) to clinch victory in the 2016 Elections.

Speaking on Peace FM's Kokrokoo, James Kwabena Bomfeh, also called Kabila, stated that the parties have no better option than to rally behind the CPP Flagbearer, Ivor Kobina Greenstreet.

Touting some achievements of the CPP, Kabila alluded to the "prestigious" Akosombo Dam, the education system and other infrastructure developmental projects that were set up by Ghana's first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah.

He recounted that the Nkrumah's regime created lots of jobs and also resolved the energy situation in Ghana.

According to him, Ghanaians were better off under Nkrumah administration; so he implored the electorates to vote for Mr. Greenstreet to replicate the good works of Dr. Nkrumah.

To him, comparing NDC and NPP records is an exercise in mediocrity.

“It will be a mediocre when it is about NDC and NPP records. They should compare to the CPP and they will see an exercise in maturity.”

Kabila advised members of the People's National Convention (PNC), Progressive People's Party (PPP) and the other disqualified parties to be part of the success story of the CPP.

“PNC, PPP and the others; I wish them well. Whatever the outcome will be, whether the court will rule in their favour or against their issue; I believe they have a very big stake in this year’s election...

“If the court does not rule in the favour of their case, they already have an option which is available in the CPP and Ivor Kobina Greenstreet. That is the obvious option available to them looking at their orientation, their beliefs and their origin.”

However, in recent development, an Accra High Court has told the Electoral Commission to allow the PPP Presidential candidate, Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom to correct anomalies on his nomination form.

The court indicated that the EC breached the law of natural justice in disqualifying Dr. Nduom from the Presidential race.

By inference, Dr. Nduom may return to the Presidential race.
