Support NPP For Resounding Victory - Mrs Akufo-Addo

Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo, the wife of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flag bearer, Nana Akufo-Addo, has called on supporters of the party and all Ghanaians  who want change to support the party in various forms at polling stations to ensure resounding victory.

She said the support could be in the form of cash or adopting a constituency so that the party would be able to take good care of the party agents to protect the ballot on election day.

Mrs Akufo-Addo was addressing market women at the Central Market in Kumasi to launch "Adopt A Polling Station.”

The move is to mobilise resources to cater for the party agents who will protect the votes at each polling station.

Mrs Akufo-Addo, who, together with the market women, had not paid attention to the downpour, assured the women that an NPP government, led by Nana Akufo-Addo would implement policies that would ameliorate the hardship women were facing.

She assured the women that the decision of the NPP to revamp the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), create employment opportunities and ensure a fee-free Senior High School education was geared towards helping the ordinary Ghanaian to have reprieve.

She urged the women to ensure that they reminded their family members and friends to go out in their numbers and vote massively for the NPP.

Earlier, Mrs Akufo-Addo had visited Manhyia, where she paid a courtesy call on Otumfuo Osei Tutu II  and presented some items to the Asantehemaa, Nana Afia Kobi.

Asante Juaben

At Asante Juaben, the Paramount Chief of Asante Juaben, Dasebre Otuo Serebuor, commended her for supporting her husband in his bid for the past eight years.

He said he had been friends with Nana Akufo-Addo for over 40 years and knew his commitment to democracy.

He also lauded the NPP'S determination to create jobs for the teeming youth who had completed school but were idling about.

He also asked those following Mrs Akufo-Addo not to relax when she was away, but just as they followed her around they should garner support when she went away.
