NPP Issues Ultimatum On Nana Banners

HOPESON Adorye, a member of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) communication team has given the Suhum branch of the ruling National Democratic Congress(NDC) 48 hours to replace the posters and billboards of  Nana Addo Dankwah  Akufo – Addo they tore apart or face their wrath.

Hopeson Adorye who expressed worry over the situation when speaking at the campaign launch of Opare Ansah, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Suhum Constituency on Sunday, accused the Municipal Chief Executive who is also the NDC parliamentary candidate, Mrs. Margaret Ansei as the one who ordered her thugs to deface the NPP posters and banners.

The NDC members in the constituency, ahead of President Mahama’s second campaign tour of the region on Monday, tore the posters, banners and billboards of the Suhum NPP incumbent Member of Parliament Fredrick Opare Ansah and the flagbearer, Nana Akufo Addo.

The NPP communicator called on the NDC parliamentary candidate to replace the banners before the close of Tuesday evening, adding that, if the NDC failed to do so the NPP would take action since the Police refused to act after the party had reported the matter to them.

He, however, assured the incumbent MP, Fredrick Opare Ansah of the party’s commitment to ensure he secures the expected 40,000 votes for the party in spite of his opponents’ resort to violence, which is creating unnecessary fear and panic in the area.

He cautioned NDC members to desist from such attitudes for peace to prevail in the area.

The NPP Communicator urged the NPP faithful to embark on house to house campaign and sell the message of Nana Akufo Addo for victory in the upcoming December polls

Hopeson Adoye charged NPP members and electorates not to accept double ballot papers from any of the polling station officials on the election day entreating the party members to be vigilant and help secure the Suhum seat as well as victory for Nana Addo and the NPP.
