The Flagbearer of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Dr. Edward Mahama says his inclusion in the December 7 presidential race was God’s work “not human”.
The PNC presidential aspirant noted on NEAT FM’s morning show ‘Ghana Montie’ that, he would have been Ghana’s President had it not been his elimination from the race in 2012.
“I would have won the election in 2012 if I had been there. God’s time is the best. God knows what He is doing. I have told Ghanaians that, I am not walking by sight, I am walking by faith,” he told host Kwasi Aboagye.
The Electoral Commission (EC) announced the inclusion of presidential candidates of the Progressive People's Party (PPP), National Democratic Party (NDP) and People's National Convention (PNC) after they were disqualified along with eight others last month.
Dr. Edward Mahama will now contest the December 7 election together with two other parties whose forms were approved by the Electoral Commission on Wednesday.
Delighted Mahama however said “This qualification is God's will and He will give me a message for Ghanaians. I have been campaigning since 2004 for Ghana to strengthen its institutions. Ghana wants me to emphasis on that same message.”
“God will turn Ghanaians heart to vote for me in December 7. He will do it,” Dr. Edward Mahama said.
