Under the tenure of President Mahama, Zongo communities have failed to flourish due to the hostility shown to them by the sitting president, Mrs. Samira Bawumia has claimed.

The wife of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia made this claim when she addressed hundreds of Zongo settlers mainly made of ‘kayayei’ at Borla-Borla in Asawase.

According to her, President Mahama and the NDC stand as a hindrance to the progress of people living in the Zongos.

She explained to crowd that the only way to see development in their lives and that of their families is to vote for Nana Akufo Addo and the New Patriotic Party.

Her message convinced majority of the voters who had gathered to listen to her deprecate the NDC and vow to vote the NPP to power.
