Avram Grant Is A Disappointment To Ghana Polo

Mohammed Polo has stated that Black Stars' head coach, Avram Grant is a disappointment to Ghana football.

The Black Stars is on the verge of losing out on the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia after they were beaten 2-0 by the Pharohs of Egypt.

The Black Stars will need a miracle to qualify following their one point from two games and needs to win the rest of their qualifying matches.

The 'Dribbling Magician' arguably the most technically gifted player ever to emerge from Ghana believes Avram Grant has become a liability to the Ghana Football Association and sacking the coach at this time will amount to paying unnecessary money since his contract runs out after the AFCON.

“Avram Grant is a disappointment to Ghana Football and if he cannot qualify us to the World Cup then it’s a shame for us, especially his employers. Even a local coach is able to qualify us to the World Cup . . ." .

“If per the money he is taking from Ghana he is not able to qualify us to the World Cup then what is the basis of employing a foreign coach which comes with a wasteful cost to this nation," he stated.

According to the 1978 African Cup winner, Avram Grant has done nothing to develop football in the country and our leaders of the football association should bow their heads in shame and know that these foreign coaches just come and take our monies and nothing positive comes out of their services.

“Avram Grant has not done anything new to transform Ghana football, he has been wasteful to Ghana since taking over from Kwesi Appiah and has not developed any talent. His main purpose was to come in and help develop talent, but what do we see since he took over? Polo asked.

“The coach dose not even stay and monitor our home-based players and with his attitude how can we get a strong replacement for the Black Stars’ players”? I believe after his contract with Ghana, Avram Grant must go,” an emotional Polo said.

Avram Grant is under pressure to qualify Ghana to the 2018 World Cup in Russia and a decision is yet to be made by his employers as to whether to continue as coach or face the sack.

Black Stars drew goalless with Uganda in their opening 2018 World Cup qualifier and lost 2-0 to Egypt.

Ghana now sit third on the standings with just a point with Egypt toping the log with 6 points, Uganda are second with 4 points. Congo, has no points in their first two games played.
