Seriously, Theres Something Wrong With Martin Amidu Kofi Adams

National Organizer and Campaign Coordinator for the ruling National Democratic Congress [NDC], Kofi Adams could not tell NEAT FM’s morning show host Kwasi Aboagye what is wrong with former Attorney General (AG) Martin Amidu – but strongly believes the anti-corruption campaigner is perhaps psychologically unwell.

I think there is something wrong with Martin Amidu, seriously there is something wrong with him. I know he is a lawyer but there is something wrong with him,” he claimed.

According to him, the brouhaha surrounding businessman, Alfred Woyome, in the unfolding GHc 51 million judgement debt saga with Mr. Amidu has been overhyped; and he blames the latter.

President Mahama is neither a judge nor an Attorney General to prosecute and sentence Alfred Woyome. The right procedure must be followed to retrieve the money from the business man if the court says so. But when you carefully listen to Amidu, you could see and tell that there is something wrong with him,” the NDC 2016 Campaign Manager stated.

Kofi Adams was responding to claims by the ‘Citizen Vigilante’ that President John Dramani Mahama is plotting to keep him from orally examining Woyome; despite a ruling by the apex court to that effect.

According to Mr. Amidu, the president wants to vote his oral examination of the man at the centre of the controversisl judgement debt saga and prevent the people of Ghana from hearing the truth about the public purse was looted.

Mr. Amidu is scheduled to orally examine Mr. Woyome on November 24, 2016 after the Supreme Court granted him permission to do so following a request he (Amidu) filed.

But in a recent article by Mr. Amidu, the former Attorney-General stated that, “the conduct of the President convinces me as a senior and foundation member of the governing NDC, that he would do everything in his power to ensure that the examination orally on oath of the lootee for whom his Government looted the public purse, may not come on 24th November 2016.

However, Kofi Adams, speaking on NEAT FM’s morning show dubbed ‘Ghana Montie’ Monday, rubbished Amidu’s claims and pointed out that the president is only keen on fighting corruption thus has no intention to prevent Amidu from orally examining Mr Woyome.

President Mahama is fighting against the canker and has even described it as ‘Mass murder. He is not ready to hide any corrupt moves in his government or protect offenders,” he stressed.
