Ghana�s Joseph Lamptey Banned By CAF

Ghanaian referee Joseph Lamptey is among three match officials banned by the Confederation of African football (CAF) for poor officiating.
 
The Immigration officer was black listed by the continents football governing body after a poor decision in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier between South Africa and Senegal

Joseph Lamptey was charged for awarding a wrong penalty for handball despite the fact that the ball never touched the hand of the player hence suspended for three months.

Berhe O’Michael from Eritrea and Kenya’s Davies Ogenche Omweno have all been handed three months suspension for bad officiating.

Theogene Ndagijimana also from Rwanda was issued a warning for series of mistakes in the game between Libya and Tunisia.
