Court Issues Bench Warrant For Obinim

An Accra circuit court has issued a bench warrant for the arrest of the founder of International God’s Way Church Bishop Daniel Obinim.

This was because Bishop Obinim and his two associate pastors as well as their lawyers did not report to court early in a case in which they allegedly flogged two teenagers in their church.

But, moment after the warrant and the court had adjourned the case to December 13, Bishop Obinim, surfaced with his lawyer and prayed the court to rescind the warrant.

The court presided over by her honour Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku said he will only hear them after she was done with all her other case for today.

They are presently seated in the court waiting.

Bishop Obinim is facing a charge of abuse while two of his associate pastors have been charged with abetment of crime. They have all denied any wrong doing and have been granted bail totaling GHc30,000.
