A 40 year old ex-convict Eric Addo Tetteh, an upholster and his accomplence Kwasi Owusu(27), an Accra based driver has been arrested by the Asesewa district police command in the Eastern region for snatching vehicles.
Addressing a cross section of the media in Asesewa, the District Police commander, Supt. Stephen Kofi Ahiatafu said, on 15th November 2016 the police received a complaint from a teacher who bought a Hyundai H100 urvan bus with registration number GW 7046-13.
The teacher stated that when he went to weija DVLA office to check the authenticity of the documents, it was disclosed they were fake.
Supt. Ahiatafu lamented that in further investigations by the police, Eric Tetteh and Kwasi Owusu were arrested with number plates and fake documents including road wealthy certificate among others.
The commander therefore, advised the general public to be vigilant on vehicle they purchase to avoid falling victim of such cases.
