Ghana Must Win In The December 7 Polls

The UK-based Worldwide Miracle Outreach (WMO) is mobilising more than 150 Ministers of the Gospel to intercede on behalf of the nation to enjoy free, fair and peaceful polls on December 7.

The programme dubbed: “Ghana Must Win,” takes place on Saturday, December 3, at the A Pavilion of the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre, in Accra. The session would be held from 1000 hours to 1800 hours.

Dr Lawrence Tetteh, Founder and Leader Ghana of WMO, told the Ghana News Agency, in Accra, on Thursday, that the meeting would attract leaders of the political parties, officials of the Electoral Commission (EC) and other stakeholders in the general election to pray for the impartation of God to use the land for His glory.

“The occasion will be used to pray for the Electoral Commissioner and the EC to organise the elections with boldness, tenacity and fairness,” he said. “We will also pray for all the political aspirants.”

Dr Tetteh said there was the need to pray without ceasing for the elections, explaining that a visit to war -torn countries in Africa alone presented despicable images, which indicated that an important endeavour like a general election should not be taken for granted.

“Ghanaians should not take the peace they are enjoying for granted. There is the need for the citizenry to pray to seek the Godly mandate and agenda for Ghana,” he said.

Dr Tetteh, also an Economist noted that Godliness was crucial for the elections, and around this time political leaders should pray for humility, which was crucial.

“I am happy that every politician is talking about peace but are they ensuring peace or walking the talk?” he asked.

He called on the Clergy and the media to be circumspective in their pronouncements to foster national integration.

“There is the need for a massive collective front to ensure peaceful elections,” he said.
