Kaakie, Kwabena Kwabena, Gasmila and Jupitar To Rock Ghana Music Week UK Bash

Some of Ghana’s hottest musicians including Kaakie, Kwabena Kwabena, Gasmila and Jupitar have been added to the line-up of artistes for the Ghana Music Week (GMW UK) scheduled to take place on December 30 at the 02 Arena, London.

Artistes announced earlier for the show which was originally planned last month, included Stonebwoy and E.L. They will be there in addition to promising new R&B talent, Skinny Legend and United Kingdom- based Kwamz & Flava. Mista Silva will also perform on the night which would be a four-hour celebration of Ghanaian music.

“We are now set for action having resolved the technical hitches which resulted in the postponement of the event. We expect Ghanaians from all parts of the UK to represent at this one-night-only musical explosion,” Verus Nartey, director of GMW said.

“GMW-UK and all other GMW activities held elsewhere in the world have an ultimate goal of creating awareness for the main festival in Ghana in March 2017,” confirmed Angela Kpongkpong Padi, Communications Officer at the Ghana Music Week Secretariat.

GMW-UK has been endorsed by several prominent Ghanaians in the UK including H.E. Ambassador Victor Emmanuel Smith.

The programme is being organised by the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Fantasy Entertainment and Showbiz Africa in collaboration with the Ghana High Commission in the UK, Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts, Base Group, Alordia Promotions and Akwaaba UK.

GMW UK is sponsored by Unibank, JL Properties Ghana, Unity Link and British Airlines with support from Precious Classic Ltd.
