We Are Majestically Going Into Flagstaff House Akufo-Addo Declares

The presidential candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Nana Akufo-Addo says it is a foregone conclusion that he is moving to the Flagstaff House after the December 7 general elections.

Addressing the media in Kumasi on Wednesday, he confidently declared that the NPP would emerge victorious in this year’s polls.

“This year would be for the elephant. It is going to go majestically to the Jubilee House (renamed Flagstaff House),” he stated.

The country goes to the polls next week, December 7 to elect the seventh president under the Fourth Republic and 275 Members of Parliament across the country.

Some institutions like the security and media that would be providing essential services on election day would be casting their votes tomorrow December 1, 2016.

Nana Akufo-Addo implored party supporters and Ghanaians yearning for change, not to place premium on the positions on the ballot paper but concentrate on locating where the elephant, which is the symbol of the party is, and vote for him and his MPs.

The presidential candidate reiterated that he would not be deterred by mockery mainly from the governing National Democratic Congress that he is going round begging for votes.

He stated in Akan that he will “keep begging and begging Ghanaians” for votes if that would win him the impending elections.

Nana Akufo-Addo has on several occasions condemned the Mahama-led administration of retarding the country’s progress as he accuses the government of indulging in corruption and being poor at governance.

He however promised Ghanaians that “the future of our nation is extremely bright under a correct and honest leadership” like him.
