NPP Is Working Hard To Come Back To Power - Chairman

The Acting Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr Freddie Blay, says the party is prepared to galvanise the needed support and votes that could help bring it back to power.

“I know the various constituencies in the region are working hard and all things being equal, we are very convinced that the NPP would be victorious in the upcoming general election,” he said.

Mr Blay said this at a media engagement as part of a working visit to the region in the round-up to the elections.

“Change is on the way to give Ghanaians better lives. This is the time to arise for the change the country needs. Change, we can assure you, is coming,” he said.

Mr Blay, therefore, appealed to the party faithful across the country to be extra vigilant during the December 7 elections whilst protecting the peace of the country.

Reacting to the six missing ballot boxes, the Western Regional Secretary of the NPP, Charles Onuawonto Bissue, expressed worry about the issue and asked the Electoral Commission to, as a matter of urgency, rectify it.

Mr Steve Opoku-Mensah, the Western Regional Chairman of the Electoral Commission, said the Commission had been notified of the hiccup and was working to address it.
