The Head Pastor of Living Testimonies for Jesus Bible Ministry, L.T.J.B.M, Pastor and Evangelist Sampson Joe Baning has cautioned true children of God to be wary of the strange posture of the clergy who are misusing the name of God, hiding behind the divine office of the priesthood to pursue an agenda for their own personal gains.

He reiterated that just as in previous elections the posture of this section of the clergy betray their ulterior motives, basically centered on financial gains.

He stated that, “In fact, hiding behind a so-called concept of peace and unity, which the righteous God will never bestow on Ghana through them, let me say that they are just analysing and taking undue advantage of the current political situation to later declare their allegiance to where the pendulum will swing to”.

“Beside financial gains and supervising the rot in their Churches, they are tactically projecting the work of the antichrist and the false prophet to destroy true Kingdom work by trying to use Election 2016 to boost their image as so-called leaders of Christianity. After saturating the political atmosphere with false prophecies, lies and deceptive populist conceptions in fact, this section of the clergy is indeed creating a lot of confusion in the country”, he further stated.

Interestingly, this section of the clergy cuts across all ranks even from the lowest to the highest. These include some arch bishops, bishops, right reverends, cardinals, doctors of divinity, apostle generals, overseers etc. They always parade the corridors of power always soliciting for financial favours and expensive gifts.

 Pastor Baning was speaking to section of the Church leadership at the Church’s Conference Centre on Saturday, 3rd December 2016 as part of the Church’s sustained spiritual programme, which began with a mammoth crusade at the Efua Sutherland Park on the 12th November, 2016.  

Besides the main theme “The secret agenda of the antichrist exposed! Beware of the mark of the beast (666), he also spoke about Ghana’s election. Speaking on the topic,

“Election 2016, The Divine Role of The Church And The Role Of The Believer” Pastor Baning reminded Christians that the Bible admonishes them to obey the laws of the land. Christians are therefore not exempted from performing their civic responsibilities as law abiding citizens.

He said that, in a given body politic such as Ghana where the citizens have resolved to live under democratic principles, believers are expected to exercise their inalienable rights to choose their leaders.

For this reason, he further admonished all true Children of God to also exercise restraint even in the face of any extreme provocation. He indicated, that they should analyse every situation and exercise their franchise according to their conscience without provoking anybody whatsoever, adding that after all, it is only God who knows the outcome of every situation.

He stressed that, it will be very shameful for a child of God to be found to be indulging in negative trends that will fuel tension and tarnish the image of the faith and bring the name of Jesus into disrepute.
