The NDC MP for Chereponi Hon. Samuel Abdulai Jabanyite was sworn into Parliament today by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Joyce Bamford Addo. A large number of NDC supporters from Chereponi and some family members of the new MP sat at the Public Gallery of Parliament to observe the swearing into Parliament of Hon. Jabanyite.
Welcoming the new MP into the House, the majority Leader, Hon. Alban Bagbin admonished the new MP to abide by all the rules and regulations of the House and should not hesitate to learn from his colleagues. The Minority leader, Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu however condemned the violence that happened at Chereponi before and during the by-election and said the incidents at Chereponi and Akwatia paint a gloomy picture about how the 2012 election will be.
