2112 Celebrates 1st Anniversary

2112 Charity Foundation has slated its first year anniversary celebration for Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at the OkpoTsu Park, Korle Gonno in Accra.

The celebration which is themed “Reaching out to the other boy and girl in Korle Gonno” is sponsored by BBEmpire, COLDSiS, Jolahart Consult, HQ Catering Services, Bissap Fresco, Event Matterz and Focus GH Online.

The foundation will also launch its maiden project dubbed #SchoolNaSweet. This is to help some deprived pupils in Korle Gonno and its surroundings.

Speaking to FocugGhOnline, the President and Founder of 2112 Charity Foundation, Mr. Joseph Lawrence Nii Ayikwei Hammond opined that, the foundation was formed with a mission to render benevolent aid to deprived children who are enthused by education.  

According to him, there were school children performing well academically in their various schools but lacked support from home.

Mr. Joseph Lawrence Nii Ayikwei Hammond expressed worried with how underprivileged kids end up entering into needless and shameful ventures that turn to destruct their lives.

He averred that the foundation was looking at embarking other projects like a community library and an ICT centre that will enhance the studies and academic performance of school children in the Korle Gonno community.

“We are not only looking at Korle Gonno in the mean time but will widen our tentacles as time goes on to reach out to the other boy who are less privileged in other schools as well. There are our future leaders and the need to pay heed to their wants is very important within these times in order to get them become responsible persons in the near future”, he told Raymond Kwakye

 He however called on other benevolent organizations and individuals to join the foundation in championing the success of the celebration - “We are trusting God for His favor and mercies that all will go well to His glory alone”

The ‘#SchoolNaSweet’ project launch will involve other different activities such as music, poem recitals, and talks from some dignitaries and fundraising.
