Krobos Will Be Included In My Govt. Akufo-Addo

President-Elect of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has reiterated his commitment for an all inclusive government.

At a durbar held at Odumase Krobo on Thursday 28 December 2016 to thank the chiefs and people of the three Krobo constituencies, Nana stated that ” I can assure you that Krobos will be part of my government”.

He added that people like Boakye Agyarko and Hon Joseph Tetteh MP Elect for Upper Manya Krobo already have a place in his government.

Nana Akufo Addo further appealed to the Konor of Manya Krobo to help stop the propaganda by the NDC which was being rumoured prior to the general elections that if he wins the election, Krobos living on Akyemland will lose their lands and will be driven away because they had always voted for the National Democratic Congress.

He reiterated his commitment to make sure that Krobos and Akyems live peacefully. ” I pledge that no danger will befall Krobos living on Akyemland”.

He thanked the Krobo people for voting massively for the NPP. Special mention was made of Upper Manya Krobo where the NPP won the seat for the first time in history and Lower Manya Krobo where the NPP lost the seat by a whisker of margins (just around 300 votes).

He also acknowledged the results from Yilo Krobo which he said has improved over the previous years.

Nana Akufo-Addo also stated that he will honour his promises made during the electioneering campaign including the one-district-one-factory promise.

He called for the support of all Ghanaians and assured of his desire to foster a close relationship with the traditional authorities to improve the lots of Krobos and all Ghanains. – Dr. Eric Tamatey – Sikatse
