I Won't Let You Down...I'll Protect Public Purse Prez Nana Addo Assures

Just after he was sworn in as the President of the republic of Ghana, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has promised to protect the “purse” of the state to project businesses.

He had earlier promised to curb corruption in government which many believed was rampant in the former administration led by Ex-President John Dramani Mahama.

“I will protect public purse” – he said during his inauguration ceremony at the independent square on Saturday.

Quoting one of his mentors Kofi Abrefia Busia, former president in the second Republic, president Nana Akufo-Addo charged all to "regard politics as an avenue of service to our fellow human being; our success or failure should be judged by the quality of knowledge of the ordinary man and the standard of living he enjoys".

Clad in his rich Kente, the elegant looking president says - "I am humbled by the exceptional mandate and the confidence shown in the NPP and in my person. I will do all in my power to justify that confidence. I will not let you down"
