Free SHS Policy Will Start Soon - NPP Activist

A member of the Communication Team of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Lawyer John Kumah has revealed that the ‘Free Senior High School [SHS] Policy’ which forms part of the major interventions of President Nana Akufo Addo will see the light of the day in 8 months.

According to him, the Free SHS policy will be captured in the 2017 budget which will be read in Parliament as stated in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP’s) manifesto.

Speaking on UTV News, Lawyer John Kumah maintained that “we have plans in place to ensure smooth implementation of this policy in 8 months when the 2017 budget is read in Parliament.”

He stressed that President Akufo-Addo is a fulfilling leader who will ensure that every promise made to Ghanaians comes to pass; imploring Ghanaians, especially the youth to exercise patience as the President puts things in order to create the needed job opportunities for Ghanaians.

He however condemned the idea of some youth alleged to be supporters of the ruling NPP, going to state institutions to take over the place due to lack of job opportunities and unemployment in the country.

He again revealed that the ‘Free SHS policy’ will cover student of both ‘Day and Boarding’ school.
