Information gathered by 3news.com has confirmed that the office of the president, Nana Akufo-Addo, has received a letter indicating that former president Mahama is no longer interested in staying in his cantonments bungalow.

The former president had requested that he was allowed to keep the house at the No. 3. Prestige Link, Cantonments as part of his retirement package. He has lived in the house since 2009: as a vice president and president.

The request generated a great hue and cry across the country with some groups revealing their determination to eject him with force if he continues to stay in the house.
