Bush Rambo Goes On Shooting Spree

The recent lull in violent clashes in Bawku in the Northern Region was on Friday breached when a man identified by the police as Bush Rambo reportedly embarked on a shooting spree in an attempt to kill another man near the animal market. According to the police, Bush Rambo, armed with an AK 47 assault rifle, fired at Fuseini Moro but missed him. He however followed up shooting indiscriminately, firing over 20 bullets all in an attempt to kill Fuseini Moro who was riding a motorbike. Fuseini Moro escaped unhurt, however a policeman on patrol duty at the busy market was hit by a stray bullet the police suspect may have resulted from Rambos shooting. Chief Supt. Kwaku Boadu-Peprah, Bawku Divisional Police Commander who confirmed the shooting incident, told Citi News that as at midday, the victim was receiving treatment at the Bawku hospital for the gunshot wound he sustained in the right lower leg. According to the police commander, Fuseini Moro reported to the police that he was riding on his motorbike to town when he ran into Bush Rambo who readily fired at him ostensibly to kill him but for no apparent reason. The police were yet to locate and arrest Bush Rambo.
